What is Helicobacter pylori?
Helicobacter pylori is a type of Gram-negative helicobacter that lives in the human stomach mucosa. It was discovered by Warren and Marshall in 1983. It can survive in high levels of gastric acid, not only envelops the sticky stomach mold, but also passes through the protective barrier of the stomach and causes gastric lesions. |
Method for detecting Helicobacter pylori:
1. Subjects should fast for 4-6 hours before examination and gargle before test
2. Take one urea ["C] capsule with about 120mL warm drinking water and sit for 10-20 minutes.
3. Collect gas samples from the subject
4. Test the gas samples of the subject.
Precautions for Detection
1, when collecting gas, gently blowing, can change air, no suction!
2. The following factors may affect the diagnostic results of the test:
1) HP sensitive drugs such as antibiotics, banknotes and proton pump inhibitors have been used within one month.
2) HP can be inhibited by acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Attention should be paid to the possibility of false negative test. Gastrointestinal bleeding for more than a week does not affect the diagnosis
3) Gastrectomy may result in rapid discharge of isotopes from the stomach or gastric acid deficiency in patients
3, each time after taking the capsule should immediately cover tightly, to avoid the capsule deliquescence adhesion.
4. If the capsule is damaged, it shall not be used
Capsules should be swallowed, not chewed.
6. When h. pylori infection is diagnosed, test results should be evaluated against clinical indications and patient histology
7, children must be sure that the child can swallow the capsule and blow with the mouthpiece before use.
